Assemblymember Didi Barrett wrote a letter to the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets last week urging reconsideration of the state’s endorsement of Sal Cascino as a “farm operation." In light of recent developments regarding Mr. Cascino’s illegal activities in the Town of Copake, it is more clear than ever that Cascino cannot go unchecked. Assemblymember Barrett is working with Town officials and Ag & Markets to prevent Mr. Cascino from further destroying the natural resources in this beautiful part of the County.
A subsequent article covering Cascino's long history of zoning and code violations was featured in the Columbia Paper. Thank you to Diane Valden for covering this important story!
